Easy At Home Kids Exercises

1. Planking

Planking is a great exercise that helps strengthen the abdominal muscles. Your child should put his elbows on the floor and rise up on the tips of his toes. You should make sure that your child is keeping the back straight and abs tight. The child should stay in that position as long as possible; 30 seconds would be more than enough.

2. Exercising on a Kids Jungle Gym

kids jungle gym is one great method of exercise. Children love playing on a jungle gym and at the same time they are also exercising several muscle groups – arms, legs, and even their abs. You can’t climb up an obstacle without some abs work. If you want a jungle gym for your kids, check out the amazing offers from EZPlay!

3. Push-Ups

We all know what the horrible push-ups look like. They are very hard to do, but the children love them mostly because they are so challenging. In order to make sure your child is doing push-ups correctly, you should make sure that his abs are tight and back straight. Push-ups can be done with straight or bent knees.

4. Squats

Squats are simple exercises that strengthen the quadriceps of the legs. To do it properly, you need to put your feet a shoulders’ width apart and bend your knees as if you are going to sit down on an invisible chair. Your child should also put his arms out and you should make sure that his knees don't extend past his toes.

5. Jumping Rope Kids Exercise

Jumping rope is an excellent way to get the heart rate up, improve coordination and build arm strength. In addition, jumping rope builds a child’s quickness and speed. Try starting out with one minute of jumping rope each day and then gradually increase the length of the exercise. You can read more about the benefits of jumping rope here.

6. Freeze Dance

It may be hard to motivate children to exercise. However, you will have no problem if the exercise is fun. One thing you could do is play the freeze dance. Have your child pick a song and assign them a certain movement. The rules are simple. While the song is playing they dance. However, when the music stops they have to do the movement you assigned them. One example would be telling your child to do a certain exercise on his own jungle gym. Balance Kids Exercises

Doing balance exercises is a great way to teach your children left and right and also to do some leg and core exercise. Find some easy yoga poses – such as the eagle pose or an airplane pose – and have your children move from one pose to another. After a long day, your child can always relax and exercise at the same time by performing the tree pose.

Any exercise is great for kids. Be it the ones on your EZPlay wooden playset with slide, your backyard or as part of any group, it will make a child feel better, more confident, and enjoy life in more color.
